The TUS Midwest Libraries are not just somewhere you can get books. It’s somewhere you can do your work on your own or with others, escape sensory overload and get some help with studying. Libraries play a fundamental role in promoting lifelong learning.
Background
Each library located on the TUS Midwest campuses offer quiet and conducive environments for students to study, individually or in a group setting. Each TUS Midwest library provides comfortable seating, study rooms and access to computers, WIFI, photocopying , printing and more. As well as a vast collection of books, journals, research papers and other reference material, providing students with easy access to a wide range of information. The experienced Librarians are available to assist students in navigating the online databases, locating relevant material, as well as developing effective research strategies.
Please note, students can also join the library as Alumni members when they graduate
How could this affect me?
Many students in the Autism&Uni surveys mentioned the library as somewhere they really enjoyed being, whether they needed some quiet space to get away from it all or find some help or just to get some work done. Each TUS Midwest library has specialized collections in various subject areas , such as science, social science , computing and fine art. Some of these collections are not easily accessible elsewhere, making our libraries valuable spaces for in-depth research and exploration of specific subject areas.
